Join us as we celebrate two years of FUTRA. Since its inception in December of 2011 FUTRA has housed dozens of DJ’s, performers, artists, and designers. With a solid resident crew, five digital releases, and several podcasts, the sound of FUTRA can be characterized not as one genre but as a fusion of dance music styles. FUTRA is a multimedia experience brand that makes the connection between genres, art, and design.

In addition to his high profile visual design work as part of Vello Virkhaus’ V Squared Labs team, CPU developed and installed a highly specialized audio-visualization system for Marquee Nightclub at the Cosmopolitan Vegas. Recently CPU toured with Richie Hawtin’s PlastikmanLive show in Europe, Japan, and Australia where he headed the technology for the visual system.

DANCE PERFORMANCE:
“LOST sandWITCHES” choreographed by JIL STEIN
LOST sandWITCHES was created by Los Angeles artist JIL STEIN as part of her ongoing PRACTICE and RESEARCH. She explores IMAGINED SPACES and the corporealities of a moved experience. She appreciates your participation as witness.

EVENT PHOTOS:
Paisley Bruise Photography
With a keen eye for design and a background in computer nerdery, Paisley pushes the limits of his camera and editing software with each event. He often customizes the look of his shots to fit every show, and is often seen on the dancefloor, getting down and dirty with the rest of the crowd, helping raise the parties he attends to new heights of ridiculousness.
