Andrew Knives is a multimedia stop motion animator based out of Long Beach, CA. His work has been described as a blend of psychedelic visuals, with a touch of a retro inspired, electronic glitch art. Andrew Knives explores the world of consumerism, while intersecting feelings of desolation and bleakness. For FUTRA presents SUPER FUTURE, he’s created a short animation which explores the timeline and advancements made in the cyber-electronic world. The short animation is screening at 9pm and scored by electronic experimental artists Live For Each Moon + Black Hoods, displays the progression of technology and its relationship to the human psyche. Although technological advancements make information easier to obtain, and opinions easier to share, it is these same advancements that isolate and detach human beings from one another.
